To celebrate the birthday of this cute, mischievous, and full-of-ideas birthday girl, Chibi Maruko Chan, YOU AND ME will hold a grand birthday party at The ONE Open-air Plaza in Tsim Sha Tsui from May 8th to 10th, 2026. There will be a 2.5-meter-tall birthday Maruko inflatable photo spot at the entrance, along with life-size standees of the main characters from Chibi Maruko Chan, including Noguchi, Konatsu, Kodama, Hanawa, Sugiyama, and Ohno. Fans are welcome to come and celebrate Maruko's birthday in a joyful atmosphere.

The mall will also feature a Chibi Maruko Chan pop-up store, releasing nearly 30 new birthday-themed merchandise items on May 8th, in sync with the global launch. At 6:30 pm on May 8th, Noguchi will prepare a birthday surprise for Maruko, inviting members of the popular Japanese dance crew AVANTGARDEY, Aimu and Kohana, to perform for the first time the well-rehearsed dance moves. Maruko, dressed as a birthday girl, will also appear with Maruko's Cantonese voice actor, Lili, for photos and autographs with fans.

To celebrate Maruko's birthday, Noguchi has prepared a big surprise. For the birthday party on the evening of May 8th, the globally popular Japanese dance crew AVANTGARDEY has been invited to perform a new dance, 'Noguchi KUKUKU', showcasing Noguchi's playful and lively side through humorous dance moves. Two popular members of AVANTGARDEY, Aimu and Kohana, will travel all the way from Japan to join Noguchi on stage. The new dance's music video was released on YouTube this evening!
